9/29/2023 0 Comments Week 1: the futureI am so excited to begin this project! After hearing from past students and also being included in some Genius hour projects, the time has come!
So far in this project I have created the base layer of the website and done some brainstorming! The ideas so far include colleges (four year and two year), Military, and jobs after high school. Though I have a pretty good idea of what I would like to do, the paths I can take are limitless. I am hopeful for this website to be a helpful tool to anyone that is unsure of what they want to do after graduation. The end goal of this project is to see something new and interesting. I based this project off of what Ms. Dunn did my freshman year in her English class. She wanted to give opportunities to students to see new things and get a new perspective on what the possibilities are. This might include jobs, colleges, and the military. My interest may be in a particular field (healthcare), but seeing something different is never bad! Over half my grade when being asked could not tell you any slight detail to what they want to be when they grow up, and if they can it will change over time. So this project will put me into situations where I am confused and need help, and to websites that are factual and some that are not. The results expected are to just have a better understanding for my future. Success of this project will not be measured with what I want to do and the "end game" result, but what I am positive as to what I do not want to do. Not knowing is the fun of life, but having the necessary understanding of at least what I do not want to do will put me farther ahead in life. This is why graduation is such a joyous and scary moment. But with this project to reflect on, I wont be scared but thrilled.
